...on the inside. Belly needs more time before it is visably shrinking. But five meals in a row now that I have been STUFFED and can't seem to finish. Tonight I am going to start making smaller portions for dinner and lunch so that I don't have so much wasterd food - it kills me to see it get thrown away.
I had a great run yesterday. I plan on repeating the workout tonight before I go to yoga class. My weight has remained the same the past two days, but I noticed that my body fat percentage has gone down 3% in the past couple weeks!
So as usual... I'll keep trucking along. Run and yoga tonight, light meals, massage tomorrow, playing at the local casino on Friday, errands run and a potential lunch date on Saturday, cardio weight training and then relax on Sunday.
busy busy busy - lets cheer for that scale to keep going on down!

One week into following WW again. Exercise is being slowly added back in. I ended the week with 13 weekly points left and earning 12 activity points. Not to shabby of a start.
I lost 2.8 pounds!
My goals for this coming week are to stay the course with regards to eating. This should not be so hard this week since I did menu plan. I'd like to end the week with aproximatly 10 weekly points remaining (the more the better!) and earning closer to 20 activity points. This week it was easy to earn the 12. 10 of that came from skiing alone! Since I'll be skiing again on Sunday (yea!) I want to challange myself a bit and increase that activity goal.
Stay tuned to nexts weeks results!

I've been quiet on the diet front for a bit now, as well as the jogging.
For a couple of weeks I seriously slacked off. I ate like crap, I was lazy and didn't want to go to the gym, and I certainly wasn't paying attention to my points.
This has resulted in an increase of 5 pounds.
Now, didn't I want to get down to 190 for September 1st, NOT GAIN and end up at 198 by mid October?
Last week I ate a little better, and I was good over the weekend. I must admit, the alcohol intake has increased a bit over the past few weeks, so that does not help.
I'm starting up again. I'm going to return to the gym and jump back into week 6 of the jogging routine. I hope that I did not set myself back too much. In addition I will be doing a DVD workout set a few times a week. I netflixed it and fell in love with it so much that I bought the entire set.
SO my goal is to get down to 190 before the end of the year. Yes, I am aware that this is not as aggressive as my previous goals. I want to do this the right way - the healthy way. I also plan on making strength training, toning, and yoga part of my regular routines as well as cardio.
That would lead me to a grand total of 25 pounds in 2008. I started the year at 215, now I am 198 and I am going to kick my rear to end the year at 190.
Of course I am thinking WAY ahead, and I would like to loose another 25 pounds over the course of 2009. This would bring me down to 165 by the end of the year 2009.

Another week until 190, maybe two. I blew it this weekend.
Between the goodie day at work on Thursday, snacks and drinks over Keri's on Friday... Ponte festival and snacks with Julie on Saturday, My grandfather's birthday party on Sunday... then being in training... my diet has been all whacked off.
huuuh huuh huuh... she said 'whacked off'
Anyway. I'm being true to my workouts. So that is going well. My body fat percentage is slowly decreasing.
190 before September 1st. It's my promise to myself.

Last night I had a dream that I threw on a pair of jeans and didn't think much about it. Later on I looked down and noticed that I was not wearing my current pair of Old Navy Flirt's. I was wearing lighter colored jeans that were much thicker... a by far better quality, very durrible heavy denim. I also noticed they were lighter, faded from age and usage.
I then realized what they were. I turned and pulled back the belt line so that I could see the tag.
They were my size 12 gap jeans that were so worn in they were falling apart in places.
Yep. I had a dream about my skinny jeans packed away for that day when I can wear them again, even if it is for only around the house, jsut to say that *I CAN get back into them*

on the road to skinny
so... I am going to try the running thing again. I'm going to add this on top of my regular weight training session.
I found a guide on how to begin running. I've done stints of this in the past but never really got into it. I did run a bunch of 5ks.... but I never was able to finish one. I am hoping to follow this routine and in the end of 10 weeks to be able to complete a 5k without stopping.
Monday (today) is day one: week one Week one will consist of the following:

- Brisk five-minute warm-up walk.
- Alternate 60 seconds of jogging with
- 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes
I am to repeat this three times this week, with a day off in-between. I am choosing Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Let's see how I am next Monday.

wooohooo!
I hit a weight loss milestone!
I saw a number that I haven't seen in a couple of years - 195. I can officially say that I banish the number 200 from my scale for GOOD!!!!
I'm exiceted because I have been getting closer and closer to this number and I have finally reached it. This is also giving me extra motivation to work harder.
My next goal is to reach 190 before the end of August, and to banish 195 from my life!
..er, unless I get pg in the very distant future. Then I can forsee the possibility of a 200. There are ALWAYS exceotions to thye rule.
any my favorite tan pants from Coldwater Creek are HUGE on me! I lvoe this!!!! These pants were just too tight when I bought them in January.

It’s weird, really weird.
I see the scale going down, and it’s cool. It makes me happy to see that number creeping down week-by-week. I am over 15 pounds lost since January 1st (15.8 to be exact.) But the clothes… I just don’t get the clothes. It seems like every day I am finding something else that looks crappy on me because it’s getting to be too big. Yesterday I wore my favorite Coldwater Creek pants, and they are HUGE on me. I bought them in January and could not wear them without “undergarments” to keep everything in.
Today I am wearing a pair of linen pants that I bought last summer. Last summer they were tight on top and I had to wear larger tunic-style tops with them. These things are a freaking TENT on me now.
I *just* went shopping about 6 weeks ago. I think I am going to have to do some more shopping in a couple of weeks – but more importantly, I need to go through my closet and pull out what is now too big on me before I drive myself nuts.

I forgot how different it was!
I decided to take the dive, and I joined Weight Watchers last night. I am doing the on-line version since there seem to be no convenient meeting locations or times. I consider yesterday to be my first day, and BOY was I way over already! I had a 1800 calorie day, and that translated into 35 points!!!! My daily allotment is 24 points. What I did was enter all my food from yesterday to get the hang of the points tracker.
I’m already working on today, and those points seemed to go away before I could blink an eye. My day consists of:
Breakfast:
1.5 cups of Kashi Good Friends Cinna Raisin
1 cup skim milk
1 medium banana
20 oz decaf coffee
2 oz 2% milk
Lunch:
1 cup whole wheat pasta
½ cup tomato sauce
4 baby carrots (that was all that was left in the house)
Dinner:
1 serving of chicken things with garlic (WW recepie)
1 cup steamed summer squash
1 large baked sweet potato
1 glass of wine
That adds up to 23 points. I have 1 sacred point left over. 1 itty-bitty little thing. That is like 5 almonds! Lol I guess my point is that is not much to eat. The good news is that my walk should earn me 3 activity points. That means I can turn this into 4 points for…. Hmmm maybe a Luna bar this afternoon? Maybe some popcorn after dinner?
Yikes, this makes me think that calorie counting was causing me to consume too much food! The one thing that keeps me interested the most is that I KNOW that it works. I did it before, I can do it again. Last time WW helped me to loose 60 pounds, 6 years later can it help me loose 50????

always analyzing....
I'm thinking of not calorie counting anymore and sweitching back to Weight Watchers. I know that it's pretty much the same concept - just different ways at counting.
At least with WW I would know that when I hit my daily number I would run out... and only be able to eat 0 point foods..... whereas with counting callories there is no firm stopping point and I eat between 1500-1700 calories a day...
hmmmm.... something to ponder.
