As I was doing my search for the number six, I was thrust into a memory of my relationship with Daniel.

There are a handful of TV shows he was a fan of. Since I did not watch much TV, I did not object to what he wanted to watch. There were a few shows that I didn’t care for at first, but really grew on me… Like Torchwood. …ah, Captain Jack Harkness… What is up with my obsession with Captains?!?!?! Lol

Anyway, one show I had a difficult time getting into. I really tried, but I just didn’t care for it. On top of it all – I think this particular show was probably Daniel’s favorite. So, as I was searching for pictures of the number six, I came across MANY pictures of “number six” one of the Cylons from Battlestar Gallactica.

…FRACKING reminders everywhere I go.

I have a new addiction. People often ask me what TV shows I like to watch, and I seldom have a good answer.. or at least an answer that interest people! I always say, oh stuff on The History Channel, Discovery, Food TV, etc… nothing that I “must watch” or whatever.

Until now.

I’ve been watching season 1 of HBO’s show, Big Love. And I am HOOKED! I made sure to bump up the additional discs of season 1 get delivered this week and I added on seasons 2 and 3 to watch ASAP! I hope to have a disc in my mailbox tomorrow. Who know, maybe by the time season 4 comes on, I’ll actually HAVE cable! Lol

There are a few other TV shows on my Netfliz list – I am hoping that they are all over (i.e. The West Wing) or I am going to have some serious addictions to deal with when the fall TV season starts again.

Nice weekend overall…

Friday night Daniel and I had dinner of a Thai simmer sauce…. My favorite type of meal. All you have to do is cut up some chicken (or whatever meat or veggie you choose to make) throw in some vegetables and throw the jar of sauce in it. Serve it over a bed of rice and VOILA! Dinner is served.

Saturday morning I did some housework and caught up on a few more episodes of Good Eats. I saw some great recipes for Peach Up-Side-Down cake and Peach Melba. I would like to try making both of them – they just sounded teriffic!

Later I went to have my dress for Jess and Olivier’s wedding fitted, as well as my dress for the rehearsal dinner. I can’t believe that is coming up so soon!

Afterwards I went to visit Mom for a bit before I got a manicure and pedicure and headed back home. It was a super-easy light dinner of Annie’s Mac and Cheese and some Green Giant Green Bean casserole! Yea – I know, not the healthiest, but I really was not in the mood to cook and Daniel said he didn’t mind dinner out of a box that night!

Sunday morning Daniel had to work for a bit, so I kept myself busy with Yoga followed by Scrapbooking. I got three pages completed – almost an entire event. I have one more page to complete, and then I will be done with capturing my weekend of camping with Jess and Olivier TWO years ago! Lol

One thing that I am frustrated about, is that I cannot seem to find my pages from two specific events… one is from my 30th Birthday. A group of us went to Yankee Stadium to see the Red Sox and Yankees play…. Then I did another page to represent Brian’s 30th birthday party. I have no0 idea where those pages when, and it greatly disturbs me that I cannot find them. I hope they do show up at some point.

After I cleaned up my scrapbooking tornado, we decided to take a little drive. We went down to Devil’s Hopyard State Park, drove by Gillette’s Caste and finally across the Connecticut River on the Chester-Hadlyme ferry. The ride on the ferry was nice. We stood on our seats and looked over the sides of the Mazda – watching the water around us. It was such an interesting experience, being in the car, on a boat.

After a drive through Chester and Essex, we headed back towards home. He decided to have dinner out at Cugino’s – a favorite place of mine.
